Thermal oil is used in thermal systems as a medium to transfer heat to so-called users.
Depending on the heat requirement, the thermal oil should be of good to excellent quality. The oil can be used in different types and for different purposes.
The different types can be distinguished in mineral and synthetic thermal oil, depending on the application and usually also in combination with the desired temperature. Most mineral oil types are suitable up to a temperature of -40 ° to + 250 ° C. Use above this usually leads to excessive carbon deposition in the thermal system with all its consequences.
Synthetic thermal oils are suitable for temperatures from -115 ° C to + 400 ° C. in closed thermal installations. The different types of oil can be used in a very wide range of industrial companies and are ideal where very precise and fast temperature control is necessary.
